Eccelentia Travel was founded in 2016 by Liz Barrett, and for ten years it has run on a simple idea: the people who travel most deserve the least friction. Liz built the business one client at a time — first through word of mouth in the North West, then across the worlds of professional football and television, where a single referral from a trusted PA opens more doors than any advert.

She still reviews hotels herself. She still takes the 3am call. And she still keeps the same little black book of general managers, villa owners and operators who pick up the phone because it's her name on the screen. In 2026, Eccelentia closed its doors to the public to look after its members properly.

Liz divides her time between southern Spain and the UK, and the concierge team works around the clock so that members never notice the time difference.
